SCIENTIFIC NAME: Heterodon nasicus
DESCRIPTION: We have a great selection of CB Western Hognose Snakes for Sale. These are beautiful hognose snakes due to their unique coloration and body shape. One of the most unique characteristics of hognose snakes is their ability to play dead. Most of our hognose snakes are bred here in house.
DIET: Live or frozen thawed pinky mice. Frozen Thawed Pinkies are available in our Food and Feeders Section.
HABITAT: Provide a substrate of aspen or wood mulch at least 1” deep. A small, heavy bowl of fresh water and shelter, such as a hollow log or concave rock or plastic “cave” are the three essential pieces of cage furniture. A branch for climbing may be appreciated. These products are available in our Reptile Supplies Section. Temperature range can vary from upper 60s (night) to upper 80s (day).
ORIGIN: Western U. S. and Mexico

Juvenile hognose
Ordered on a Tuesday afternoon, had my new baby in hand by 11 a.m. on Thursday. He/sheee arrived fit feisty...the usual hognose "I is a terrifying cobra" LOL. Within half a day, he/she was actively exploring the new habitat...have received snakes in the past that took several days to acclimate enough to do that. Good price, fast shipping with updates/tracking info, nice little specimen. Looking forward to years of watching my little one grow and thrive.

Lively little girl
I waited roughly two weeks to be sure to give an accurate review. Seller waited until the weather was appropriate to ship, and for the most part had very good communication. I did ask if they would wait an extra day to ship her due to work issues, but she was sent out the day before which caused an issue with my work schedule. That one I'm going to say was a miscommunication due to the holidays. However, once she arrived, she was immediately very lively, and spirited. No signs of mites or any health issues, just a bit of stuck shed, which honestly is pretty common. She just had her second meal with me which is amazing considering so many Hogs have issues with eating pinkies. She's definitely a weird one with a big personality, but is handleable and overall calm. I definitely look forward to working with this company again in the future!
